Online meetings (Week 3)

Well, I've been pretty swamped, so am several weeks behind.

I did attend the online training for Iluminar that was offered in December via Wimba. I found a lot of the information interesting, but don't think I will have the opportunity in the near future to organize my patron interface quite so thoroughly!

My problem with online instruction (often) is that it happens during the work day (well, duh!) and I have kids and teachers in and out all day (which is GREAT!). So I really enjoy the opportunity to check things out in the archives!

Week 2 - Facebook, etc.

Here's week 2 of 23things already! I forgot to give you some info about myself last week, so here goes:

I am the LMS for both Wamego High School and Middle School (new this year, but probably forevermore). I've been at USD 320 for 11 years, and love it. We are located on the beautiful Highway 24 corridor between Manhattan and Topeka.

I love reading (of course), and learning new technology (when I have time - that's what makes this series of lessons so attractive!).

I am setting up my Facebook account as instructed, but will probably have to wait for my spam report to get my confirmation email. I'm a little dubious about Facebook, but am willing to give it a try - my 18-year-old Jen, is an avid user (but she probably won't friend me :-( )!
